Rain On The Driveway

We have the flu or winter colds. For most of the day, we sat on the couch, my two boys and I, and watched the rain come down on the driveway. We attempted to do some math, wheezed our way through some science, opened the language arts book and stared blankly at the pages. In the end we watched Road to Avonlea, Arthur, and some nature program...and the rain on the driveway. It was cozy and we were very peaceful except for some occasionally coughing and snuffling. If I'm going to be sick and stuck inside, these are two of my favorite people to do it with.
