We have several semi-serious buyers on our house. Looks like it may be a busy summer.
In two weeks, we have a wedding. My youngest daughter (who is my 3rd oldest child) will be marrying and leaving the nest. I will then be the sole woman in a house with 4 menfolk. I will miss tea on the front step, quick runs to Goodwill, long walks and late evening chats. I will miss her sometimes messy presence, her sweet smelling hair products drifting through early mornings, our flash fights by the kitchen sink that always end with, "Well, we cleared the air, lets have tea!" I have loved mothering my girls (her sister got married two years ago) and though I absolutely love my boys, there is a special bond with daughters that I am ever grateful for.
You may not see me as often over these summer months. I will pop in as I can. I will get more serious again in the fall. Hope you all have a wonderful summer. Drink deep. It will fly by, I'm sure!
I am thankful that God gave us these wonderful seasons to enjoy. Each one holds its own unique bounties. I am glad too that they give us a picture of how steadfast and sure God is.
Psalm 74:17 Thou hast set all the borders of the earth: thou hast made summer and winter.
Genesis 8:22 While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

I'm sure this summer...as the last few it seems, will certainly fly by! That will be quite the adjustment eh? Being the only woman at home...strange, I'm sure!
ReplyDeleteI love daisies!! :D
LAZY bike rides?!?! That sounds like an oxymoron! ;) lol!!
Hi! You have alot happening this summer!!! That is so exciting..another wedding for you...changes in your household with all boys...and selling your home. Very exciting..I am happy for you. I think it is a good idea to slow down with blogging for the summer...there is so much more to do, just by going outdoors even, in the summer.
ReplyDeleteHa...Your Patrick is smart. Next he will be asking for hot water and making tomato soup with the ketchup! My kids used to put the packets of sugar in their soda at restaurants. Luckily they grew out of that.
A craft fox! I bet that excited your boys.
Hi, Anita! Congratulations to your daughter. How happy they both look!
ReplyDeleteWishing you warm weather soon so you can enjoy the outdoors.
:)Vicki
